Two more New Zealand cricket legends have announced their retirement.

All-rounder Sophie Devine and fast bowler Lea Tahuhu say they’ll hang up their boots after this summer’s ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, joining Suzie Bates in what will be a historic farewell for the White Ferns.

Sophie Devine and Lea Tahuhu have been pillars of New Zealand women’s cricket for well over a decade. Devine, an all-rounder, made her debut back in 2006 and has racked up more than 3100 hundred runs and 128 wickets across 310 T20 appearances.

Tahuhu has earned more than 200 caps as one of the world’s most feared fast bowlers. Both were central to New Zealand’s T20 World Cup victory in the UAE two years ago. Their retirements come just days after veteran batter Suzie Bates made a similar announcement, meaning the White Ferns will lose their three most experienced players at the same tournament.
