ECCB ACCOMPLISHES 49 YEARS OF MAINTAINING 2.70 PEG TO THE US DOLLAR.(July 17th 2025)

A social commentator observed that Saint Lucia has demonstrated remarkable success in maintaining its currency peg, especially considering that the country faced an oil crisis at the time of its establishment. This month, the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) commemorated 49 years of successfully sustaining the fixed exchange rate of EC$2.70 to US$1.00.
