ELECTORAL DEPARTMENT DECLARES NOMINATION DAY A SUCCESS
Chief Elections Officer Herman St. Helen has declared the 2025 nomination day a success, citing minimal reported issues across all 17 constituencies.
He highlighted the Micoud north constituency as a key area to watch in the December 1st election, noting the unusually high number of independent candidates who successfully secured their nominations for the seat.
The Saint Lucia National Congress, a newcomer in the political arena, also officially entered the contest.
With all nomination documents now finalized, the head of the electoral department revealed that the immediate next step is the urgent commencement of ballot paper printing.
