Experts Call for Stronger Taxes and Policy Reform to Tackle Alcohol Consumption(JANUARY 29TH, 2026)
The Health Caribbean Coalition (HCC), in partnership with PAHO and CARPHA, hosted the 10th Caribbean Alcohol Reduction Day themed “Alcohol Now: The Health Realities We Can’t Ignore.”
The event emphasized the health risks of alcohol, such as its link to cancer, and provided updates on PAHO’s initiatives, regional policy actions, and research efforts in member states like Saint Lucia.
