FORMER MINISTER SAYS DESALINATION MAY BE WASCO’S FUTURE
A former Minister of Sustainable Development says the growing impact of climate change on Saint Lucia could eventually leave the Water and Sewerage Company Inc. (WASCO) with little choice but to pursue desalination as a long-term solution to water shortages.
However, he cautions that such a major step should not come before addressing the existing operational challenges currently affecting the utility company.
