Former Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley returned to his educational roots in Tobago today, visiting his alma mater, Bishop’s High School, not just as a distinguished alumnus, but as a generous benefactor. Dr Rowley spent the morning reconnecting with current students and staff. The visit culminated in a significant donation of books and reading material drawn directly from his personal collection, intended to bolster the school’s library resources. This gesture is particularly resonant as the Anglican-run school recently celebrated its centennial and continues to maintain a strong academic record, including a near 99% pass rate at the CAPE level.
Following the event, the former Prime Minister shared a photo with students on social media, using a powerful, conversational term to describe the next generation. Quote “A morning with my protégés at alma mater, Bishop’s High School, Tobago. Donated reading material from my personal library to the school library.”
