Four National Schools’ Carnival Competitions Confirmed For This Year

Four major competitions will be held this year under the National Schools’ Carnival Events.
Confirmation came today in a statement from the Ministry of Education.
The four events are the National Schools’ Panorama, Junior Soca Competition, Schools’ Intellectual Carnival Chutney Soca Monarch Competition, and Schools’ Tassarama Competition.
A release from the Ministry says registration for the National Schools’ Panorama Competition closed on Monday, January 5th, with participation from over 40 schools. It explains that following the preliminary round, 23 schools, comprising 11 secondary and 12 primary schools, will advance to the finals.
The Ministry says transportation assistance will be provided for pan equipment for finalist schools competing in the National Schools ’ Panorama Competition. It assures that all finalist venues will be designated « safe zones », which will be strictly monitored to maintain a drug-free environment.
The Ministry says registration for the Junior Soca Monarch Competition has been extended to Monday, 26th January 2026 at 4 pm.
The finals of the National Schools’ Panorama Competition will be held on January 19th, while the finals of the Junior Soca Monarch Competition will be held on February 9th.
Meanwhile, the finals of the Intellectual Carnival Chutney Soca Monarch Competition will be on February 11th, along with the finals of the Schools ’ Tassarama Competition.
