GREASED REALITY [13TH APRIL 2026] – Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre has warned that rising geopolitical tensions could drive global oil prices as high as US$200 per barrel, a development that would significantly impact fuel costs in Saint Lucia. Speaking at a recent briefing, the Prime Minister also raised concern over the growing threat of climate change, stressing that its effects are no longer distant but already impacting livelihoods, infrastructure, and the island’s resilience, with potentially severe consequences if left unaddressed.
