A landmark victory has been achieved for the LGBTQI+ community in Saint Lucia, as the high court ruled that the island’s laws criminalizing consensual same-sex intimacy are unconstitutional. This historic decision was welcomed by the eastern Caribbean Alliance for Diversity and Equality (ECADE).
