LOCAL WRITERS GATHER FOR THE TIWE LISTWA RETREAT TO CELEBRATE AFRICAN IDENTITY
Saint Lucia’s rich culture and history came alive last weekend at the Tiwe Listwa Writing Retreat, where ten emerging writers, poets, and storytellers gathered to explore African identity, amplify marginalized voices, and use literature as a tool for social advocacy. Fully funded by the Commonwealth Foundation, the retreat ran from Saturday, October 4th to Monday, October 6th, 2025, at the historic Balenbouche Estate.
