Minister John Defends New Residential Development In The Capital City
Part of the plans for the revitalisation of Port of Spain is the establishment of new housing communities.
Minister of Works and Infrastructure Jearlean John defended the establishment of one such housing area at the corner of Colville Street and Wrightson Road — the former site of the Power Generation Company of Trinidad and Tobago (PowerGen).
« We don’t have enough people living in the capital city, nobody lives in Port of Spain. You have to bring people in, young people, professionals such as yourself have to feel that Port of Spain is safe. They could come, they could raise their families here in Port of Spain. So that’s a perfect site to put residences. »
