Minister of National Security, Wayne Munroe, says that he would expect the United States to be “very receptive” to help The Bahamas receive the best deal for a new Bahamas Department of Correctional Services (BDOCS) facility – “which is being largely built by an American firm”.
His comments comes after U.S. Ambassador to The Bahamas, Herschel Walker, expressed concerns last week about The Bahamas’ deal with China’s Export-Import Bank for a new specialty hospital in Western New Providence.
