During his Tobago visit on Friday 20 March 2026, Minister of Homeland Security, the Honourable Roger Alexander M.P., engaged officers at the Shirvan Road Police Station and connected with young members of the adjacent Police Bicycle Youth Club.

At the station, the Minister met with officers, toured key operational areas including the CCTV monitoring room, and reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening frontline policing and national security infrastructure.

The visit also extended to the Police Bicycle Youth Club, where the Minister, joined by High Commissioner of Canada to Trinidad and Tobago, His Excellency Michael Callan, interacted with young participants, offering words of encouragement and highlighting the importance of discipline, positive engagement and community support in shaping the nation’s future. In a light moment, both joined the youths for a bicycle ride, underscoring the value of connection, mentorship and leading by example.

The engagement reflects the Ministry’s continued focus not only on security, but on building safer communities through meaningful outreach and investment in young people.
