Restoration continues but challenges remain ⚡
Energy Minister Daryl Vaz says difficult terrain, flooding and limited access are slowing efforts by the Jamaica Public Service Company to fully restore power in western Jamaica.
Nearly six months after the hurricane, 2,764 customers—mostly in Westmoreland—are still without electricity, though restoration is now 99.6% complete and dozens of communities have already been reconnected.
