The Tax Administration Jamaica says the Income Tax threshold has officially increased to $1,902,360 as of April 1, 2026 — the second step in the Government’s plan announced by Finance Minister Fayval Williams in Parliament of Jamaica.
For the full 2026 year, the effective tax-free amount will be $1,876,614, bringing estimated savings of:
✔️ $25,518 per taxpayer annually
✔️ $490.73 weekly
✔️ $981.46 fortnightly
✔️ $2,126.50 monthly
Tax authorities are urging employers and taxpayers across Jamaica to update payroll systems and financial plans to reflect the new threshold. 📊
