During this week’s PLP media update, Keenan Johnson of the party’s legal team confirmed there is no provision in the law or constitution preventing a candidate from being nominated, if they have or are seeking government contracts.
However, they must declare this interest within 30 days of election, which in this case would be between April 12 and May 11.
