NURC NEARS FINAL DETERMINATION ON WATER RATES
The National Utilities Regulatory Commission (NURC) is in the final stages of the WASCO Triennial Tariff Review, a process expected to culminate in a Final Determination Report that will officially set new water and sewerage rates.
While acknowledging that the current tariff does not fully cover the true economic cost of producing water, a former government has cautioned that any increase in funding must be accompanied by measurable operational improvements. The warning stresses that such reforms should be transparent and verifiable to ensure public confidence in the process.
