Officials Begin Door-to-Door Voter Verification Ahead of Elections
The Parliamentary Registration Department and the Bahamas National Statistical Institute have teamed up to launch a door-to-door voter verification exercise.
It’s a nationwide effort that’s mandated by law and requires scrutineers to be deployed across New Providence, Grand Bahama, and Abaco over the next eight weeks.
Parliamentary Registration Department consultant Geoffrey McPhee says the goal is to ensure the accuracy of the voter register and to strengthen transparency and public confidence in the electoral process.
