RIGHTS AND REMAND [12TH DECEMBER 2025] – With 58 percent of inmates at the Bordelais Correctional Facility still awaiting trial, Acting Deputy Director of Corrections Chris Felix says the strain on the system is driven not by operations at Bordelais but by the slow pace of court proceedings. As officials expand rehabilitation programmes and improve conditions, the facility is working to balance human rights concerns with efforts to support successful reintegration.
