Police Seize $750K Worth Of Cannabis In SOE Operation

A coordinated State of Emergency raid in Sangre Grande has led to the seizure of a large quantity of cannabis and the arrest of two suspects.
Police say the operation took place on Sunday at a residence along Ojoe Road, where officers executed a search warrant.
During the search, authorities discovered approximately 25.5 kilogrammes of cannabis, with an estimated street value of about 750 thousand dollars.
Two people who were at the home at the time were arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.
They were taken to the Sangre Grande Police Station, where they are expected to be formally charged.
Officers from the Eastern Division Task Force, the National Operations Task Force, and the K9 Unit also participated in the operation.
