A sharp rise in road collisions, including incidents involving pedestrians, has marked the opening weeks of 2026, with four fatalities already recorded.
Addressing the issue Prime Minister Hon. Philip J Pierre condemned what he described as a growing culture of reckless disregard on the nation’s roads.
He warned that the government will respond with tougher penalties and firm enforcement, making it clear that those who endanger lives can expect the full force of the law to be applied.
