In a surprise move, Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre has set December 1st as the date for General Elections, nearly a year ahead of schedule. Announcing the decision in a national address Sunday evening, he confirmed that Parliament will be dissolved on Monday, November 10th, and Nomination Day is set for Friday, November 21st, marking the official start of the election campaign.
