Saint Lucia Home Care Workers Achieve Permanent Full-Time Employment Status.(October 2nd 2025)
A five-year fight for stability has culminated in victory for hundreds of home care workers who have been converted to permanent, full-time employees, finally easing their long-standing fears of job insecurity and financial hardship.
The Saint Lucia Social Development Fund (SSDF), a satellite agency of the Ministry of Equity, Social Justice and Empowerment, hosted a Ceremony of Permanency Roll-Out for the SSDF Elderly Homecare Program Staff on Thursday, 2 October 2025, at the National Cultural Centre.
