Saint Lucia To Halt Cuban Medical Trainees Prompts Healthcare Concerns(FEBRUARY 4TH, 2026)
Health Minister Hon. Moses Jn Baptiste has described the suspension of medical trainees to Cuba as a « highly delicate » situation.
The minister’s comments came as the government confirmed that it would allow current students to complete their training in Cuba and return home, but no new students would be sent to the island nation.
