People’s National Movement (PNM) candidate for Bethel/New Grange, Sterling “Big Dog” Timothy, delivered a high-energy address to supporters in Egypt Junction last night, positioning himself as the « voice of the home boy » and promising a new era of representation for the district.

Speaking on his home turf, Timothy emphasized his deep roots in the community, describing himself as « nurtured and raised in the streets of Egypt. » He argued that this local connection translates into a leadership style defined by « love and humility. »

Focus on Youth and Infrastructure Addressing the needs of Bethel/New Grange, Timothy outlined a platform focused on employment, improved road infrastructure, and youth development. He specifically highlighted the state of the Montgomery field, pledging to upgrade the facility to help local athletes reach the national stage.

« We have talented young men making national teams… and no avenue because of the condition of our grounds. That will be changed under Sterling Timothy, » he declared.

The Call to Election With the election date set for January 12th, Timothy urged the electorate to use their democratic power to demand accountability for the last four years. In a direct challenge to the current administration, he stated, « The writing is on the wall… What we fed up of, we not going back with. »

The meeting also featured support from PNM Tobago Council Political Leader, Mr. Ancil K. Dennis, and Minority Leader, Mr. Kelvon Morris.

Timothy concluded his address with a call for unity and betterment, asserting that « Bethel is love » and that the party is standing on solid ground to restore productivity, tourism, and healthcare.
