CAUGHT IN THE ACT [12TH MARCH 2026] – As Saint Lucia welcomes thousands of cruise visitors during the peak of the tourism season, renewed calls are being made to safeguard the island’s reputation as a safe and welcoming destination. The appeal follows a reported robbery near Jeremie Street in Castries on this week, which has heightened concerns about security in areas frequently visited by tourists. Castries Mayor Geraldine Lendor-Gabriel commended members of the public for their cooperation in helping authorities apprehend suspects and noted the role surveillance cameras at nearby businesses played in the response. Kishana Smith tells us more.
