This year’s theme, “Our Nurses, Our Future: Caring for Nurses Strengthens Economies,” underscores the importance of valuing and supporting the heart of our healthcare system.
Nurses are essential.
They advocate for patients, promote health, prevent disease, and provide the compassionate care that no machine can replicate. In a time when physical, mental, and financial health are being overlooked, and with chronic diseases and substance abuse on the rise, the demand for nurses has grown tremendously—from clinic visits and dressings to home visits and community outreach.
