Thirteen Venezuelans Detained At Sea By Coast Guard

Thirteen Venezuelan nationals, including two infants, were intercepted by the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard, during routine maritime patrols on Friday.
In a statement, the Coast Guard reported that an unregistered and unmarked pirogue was intercepted off the south coast of Trinidad.
The individuals found onboard were subsequently handed over to the relevant authorities for official processing.
The Coast Guard reaffirmed its continued commitment to conducting regular maritime patrols to safeguard national borders, noting its ongoing efforts to monitor and intercept illegal maritime activities while ensuring safety at sea.
