Trinidad and Tobago cyclist Makaira Wallace has climbed to 23rd in the UCI Women’s Elite World Rankings after a great showing at the Bolivarian Games held in Peru.

The JLD cyclist won silver and bronze in the Keirin and Sprint finals, respectively, at the games.

Wallace, who was ranked 86th in 2024, took to social media earlier today to make the announcement, as she continues her rapid rise in the sport on a global stage.

In 2025, she also became the first T&T cyclist to qualify for a sprint event at the UCI World Championships.
