The Trinidad and Tobago Securities and Exchange Commission (TTSEC) is warning the public about a fraudulent online investment scheme operating under the names Stable Rowdex, Stable Capital, and Futurix Capital.

The regulator says the scheme is circulating AI-generated videos, doctored newspaper articles, altered images and other falsified promotional content, falsely claiming endorsements from the Prime Minister, and Economists Dr. Ronald Ramkissoon and Wendell Mottley ORTT.

The TTSEC stressed that all such endorsements are fake, adding that none of the entities are registered to offer securities or investment-related products in Trinidad and Tobago.

According to the advisory, the TTSEC said this scheme is “continuously evolving,” frequently changing names and branding to evade detection.

The Commission is urging the public to exercise “extreme caution,” particularly when encountering any investment offers promising unusually high or guaranteed returns, or using AI-generated impersonations of public officials.
