The Caribbean Youth Environment Network (CYEN) St. Lucia Chapter is calling on young people to act now to protect the island’s future. In line with Sustainable Development Goal 13, the organization has been mobilizing youth to build climate resilience through practical initiatives and innovative solutions. Recently, CYEN concluded a series of National Adaptation Planning workshops, engaging key stakeholders, including students from the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College, who are deeply committed to environmental action. A central theme of the workshops was the use of artificial intelligence to develop actionable plans aimed at mitigating environmental degradation and strengthening ecosystems both locally and regionally.
