Call to revisit penalties for dormant businesses

Deputy President of the Senate, Her Honour Elizabeth Thompson believes the time has come for officials to revisit the penalties which dormant businesses attract in the country. During her contribution to today's Senate sitting, she called for practical systems to be developed. She made the point as she revealed family businesses tend to end up incurring additional penalties especially after the founder passes or falls ill.
