Earth Day continues to raise awareness about environment

April 22 is Earth Day, a day which aims to raise awareness about the environment. Since 1970, the movement has led to the establishment of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Clean Air Act, and the Clean Water Act. It’s now become a day celebrated around the world with volunteer groups organizing clean-ups in many countries. On this year’s Earth Day, organizers are calling for a 60 percent reduction in the production of all plastics by 2040. CGTN's Ediz Tiyansan reports from Los Angeles.
