Hundreds of thousands of chickens killed in Vic to stop spread of bird flu

Up to 400,000 chickens have been killed in Victoria to halt the spread of bird flu, but the deadly disease has now been detected at a second farm in the state’s south-west. An investigation is underway at a second poultry farm in Victoria in Terang, which is connected to another poultry farm in Meredith where a bird flu outbreak was identified on Wednesday. The Meredith farm was where the H7N3 strain of bird flu was first located.
