Kamloops mother Cara English says her four-year-old son Bodhi needs a timely autism diagnosis in order to attend kindergarten next year. Experts say a diagnosis is critical to accessing funding and support, but increasingly requires a multi-year wait. When her daughter, eight-year-old Emma, learned of the wait, she took it upon herself to raise funds for a faster, private diagnosis. English said she's been shocked by the support she has received on social media and in person. Emma's lemonade stand made $1,500 last Sunday, far exceeding her goal of $300. #autism #lemonadestand Connect with CBC Vancouver online: Website: https://www.cbc.ca/bc TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@cbcvancouver #CBCVancouver #CBCNews #BritishColumbia
