KARAMOJA PROGRAM OF IRON SHEET DISTRIBUTION: MISHANDLED BY THE BENEFICIARIES

The Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has said the government and the development partners need to identify better alternatives of livelihoods to the people of Karamoja than ditching out iron sheets to Karamoja. Nabbanja says its unfortunate that the programme of providing iron sheets has been mishandled by the beneficiaries themselves because ever since government started giving out iron sheets in 2007, a few houses have been roofed. Nabbanja was speaking the UNDP head offices in Kampala.
