Kiambu ranks top five in Kenya for high teenage pregnancy rates

Teachers and members of the clergy in Ruiru, Kiambu County, have joined forces to tackle the growing issues of teenage pregnancies and substance abuse among youth. Reports indicate alarming cases where girls as young as 13 years old are dropping out of school due to pregnancy, while their peers in primary and secondary schools are involved in alcohol and drug use.
