Lawmakers may fail to pass budget for Arkansas Game and Fish Commission at fiscal session
The 2024 Arkansas Fiscal Session has recessed and adjourned until its final meeting next Thursday. For three weeks, lawmakers have been determining the state's budget for the next fiscal year. Taking center stage at this year's session were several significant non-budgetary bills. Two closely watched bills addressed concerns surrounding the spread of cryptomines in the state, creating a framework to regulate the new industry through the Arkansas Department of Energy and Environment.
