Montreal seniors left to wait hours for care despite doctor not being on shift

A pair of Montreal-area seniors are speaking out after they were left waiting hours for care at a local hospital – even though the doctor had left. Brian Williams was rushed to hospital after experiencing trouble breathing, where X-rays revealed his stomach was pressing against his lungs. He was referred to a thoracic specialist for an appointment earlier this month. The couple says after hours waiting, they were told the doctor had been called into an emergency.
