Mukhtar Ansari, the five-time MLA from Uttar Pradesh's Mau, died of cardiac arrest on Thursday evening. The gangster-politician, who was lodged in Banda district jail, was rushed to Rani Durgavati Medical College earlier this evening after his health deteriorated. According to prison officials, 63-year-old Ansari's health deteriorated after he broke his Ramzan fast in the evening.
