Nakuru high court directs petition filed by Peter Okiro to be moved to Nairobi

A Nakuru high court has directed that the 7th petition filed by Peter Okiro seeking conservatory orders against the Affordable Housing Act of 2024 based on violation of the constitution be moved to Nairobi to be heard together with 6 other similar petitions. Justice Patricia Gichuhi said this will save the judiciary time as all the petitions are seeking the same order. At the same time, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has insisted that the government will move forward with the affordable housing project uninterrupted.
