New Mexico train derailment leads to fire and evacuations

A fire from Friday's freight train derailment was still burning late Saturday near the Arizona-New Mexico state line. The blaze forced the closure of a popular interstate trucking route and led to evacuations and business closures. About 40 people living within a two-mile radius of the derailment site were still not allowed back home as of Saturday afternoon, as a precaution as winds carried away thick smoke and local firefighting crews responded, AP reports. The train, which caught fire after it went off the tracks, was carrying propane and gasoline, police say.
