Ontario orders chemical plant to remain shuttered over Benzene emissions

The Ontario government has ordered INEOS Styrolution to keep its chemical plant in Sarnia closed until the province is satisfied it can operate more safely. The order follows numerous complaints from people in neighbouring Aamjiwnaang First Nation, who say they became sick after high levels of the cancer-causing chemical benzene were detected in the air.
