“Outrageous”: Mi'kmaw fishers allege unlawful arrest in Nova Scotia

An investigation is underway after two Mi'kmaw fishermen in Nova Scotia alleged they were mistreated by federal fisheries officers, who arrested the pair. They were apprehended for fishing for baby eels, a fishery that is closed this season, while the men say they were exercising their treaty right to fish.
