PM blames the Opposition's 'broken system' amid migration forecast questions

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has discussed inheriting a “broken” system from the Coalition when asked about their incorrect migration projections. This follows questions about Labor’s forecast for net overseas migration in 2022/23 being under by 293,000. “We’re on track to halve it by next year. We’ve announced we’ll limit our international student numbers,” Mr Albanese said during Thursday’s question time. “It’s their system that we inherited. We’re fixing it.”
