SIDS asked to pay special attention to their vulnerabilities

The Caribbean Natural Resources Institute, CANARI says small island development states need special attention given their vulnerabilities. The statement comes as Barbados and other small island states gear up for the 4th International Conference on Small Island Developing States in Antigua and Barbuda. Programme Director, Anna Cadiz-Hadeed says the needs of these small islands are different as they stretch from the Caribbean, Atlantic, Indian Ocean and the Pacific. While acknowledging the strides made after the first SIDS Conference in Barbados, she says these countries are not where they should be. Ms. Cadiz-Hadeed was a guest on CBC TV8's Mornin' Barbados.
