The Acropolis And Other Athens Landmarks Took On Martian Hues On Tuesday As Stifling Dust Clouds Blown Across The Mediterranean Sea From North Africa Engulfed The Greek Capital. Strong Southerly Winds Carried The Orangey-brown Dust From The Sahara Region Over Much Of Southern And Central Greece, Imposing A Carroty Filter Over Athens Particularly In The Last Hours Of Daylight. A Shift In Winds Forecast For Wednesday Is Expected To Start Clearing Greek Skies And Bring A Dip In Temperatures, Which In Parts Of The Southern Island Of Crete Tuesday Exceeded 30 Degrees Celsius (86 Fahrenheit). That's More Than 20 Degrees Celsius Higher Than Was Registered In Much Of Northern Greece. #athens #greece #orangesky #sahara #internationalnews Subscribe to India Today for NEW VIDEOS EVERY DAY and make sure to enable Push Notifications so you'll never miss a new video.
