SLASPA hosts Occupational Health and Safety Day

The Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA) hosted its Occupational Health and Safety Exhibition on April 26. The activity endeavored to delve into this year's theme for "World Day for Safety and Health at Work" - The impact of climate change on occupational health and safety. The International Labor Organization stated recently that a “staggering” number of workers, amounting to more than 70 per cent of the global workforce, are likely to be exposed to climate-change-related health hazards, and existing occupational safety and health (OSH) protections are struggling to keep up with the resulting risks."
