The city of El Fasher, in Sudan's North Darfur region, is nearly surrounded by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). The paramilitary group has been accused of large-scale, ethnically-motivated atrocities during the country's year-long civil war against the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF).
