University of California staff goes on strike in solidarity with Pro Palestine demonstrators

Academic workers at one of the United States’ largest public university systems went on strike this week following a decision by their union in response to the university’s handling of the pro-Palestinian protests on their campuses in recent weeks. The majority of the 48,000 union members voted in favor of the move, alleging that students’ rights to peaceful protest were violated. CGTN’s Ediz Tiyansan reports.
